Native to the northeastern region of the United States, American ginseng root, known as Quinquefolius, is the least researched of all 3 Ginseng varieties (Siberian, Asian Panax, American). The active ingredient of American ginseng is called ginsenoside. It has been used in the past to increase energy, combat stress, boost immunity, and increase mental function. Men have found this most useful in weight control and energy. Women commonly find it useful for menopausal symptoms. Diabetics have also noticed American Ginseng to be helpful. Thick and hearty roots used for this powder are harvested after at least 4 years of growth. Low Speed Milling of the roots is automatically controlled to keep low temperature to ensure the quality and potency of the product is not compromised.

How to use:  Most people use Amercian Ginseng in small amounts, for a month at a time, followed by a two-week rest.  Mild stomach tonic and stimulant.
