Although the black walnut has been used for hundreds of years throughout parts of the world for common household remedies for skin conditions, to treatment of instestinal parasites, it is relatively unknown in North American stores today. Grown in small batches, these black walnuts are harvested by hand.

*** Please Note: Black Walnuts have a very strong rich taste! They have been described as having a bitter somewhat smokey flavouring. They also differ slightly in shape and colour to regular walnuts ***

We recommend to appropriately adjust the quantities called for in recipes or to use a mix of both black and regular walnuts. Nutritionally, black walnuts have significant amounts of magnesium, potassium and contain essential Omega-3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.

I ordered the black walnuts without knowing the strong taste and WOW!! They're not the regular walnuts for sure, gave them to a friend who eats them regularly and she appreciated them very much!!

Wow, never thought I'd taste that flavor ever again, but these are the real thing! POTENT. Not your ordinary walnut.
