I purchased the first generation model and found that it was clogging a lot . Both the strainers broke at the seams and warranty did not cover replacements which were very expensive and they to broke at the seam in no time. So now I have this unit that I can not use because parts apparently are not available. It has been a very BIG costly effort. Need a new juicer but will not consider Hurom

I had high expectations from, this juicer, but it has disappointed me totally. Juice is very pulpy (no strainer provided), it clogs several times while juicing one container of juice (2 cups) if you don't help it along with a cleaning brush while juicing. As a result, the cleaning brush broke after only a few months of use, and I haven't been able to find a replacement part in Canada. Without it, juicer can not be used at all. They have it on Amazon.com, but won't ship to Canada????? To be fair, there are two plus sides to Hurom juicer: it is very quiet, and it cleans easily (if you have a brush).

Hurom is a Great Juicer !

Super machine ! Unbelievably quiet motor hums softly 'til you feed it, then sounds like someone munching celery.
Works great on fruit, roots, & on leafy greens, with smoothie like texture from Fine basket.
Berries come out like soft, smooth jam - make great fresh sauce ! Must whisk into the rest of the juice.
If you want clear juice without pulp, this is NOT the machine for you.
Reverse switch cleared a couple of jams easily, no need to take it apart. Easy to clean, take apart and reassemble & fits under the cupboard.
Yields much more juice than my old centrifugal juicer did, especially with greens. Very solid, never budged no matter what I fed it. High quality, beautifully made components, attractive on the counter, uses far less space than a horizontal type would.
I think it's a very good investment & the price is pretty reasonable when compared to many others of both types. Could not be happier with the Hurom if I tried.

Upaya Note: To avoid pulp in the juice - do NOT push the food through the juicer, let the juicer grab and suck in the food itself. This machine is unlike typical juicers where you are straining and pushing the food through. If you are pushing the food through on the Hurom, too much fibre mass ends up in the auger at one time, and will result in pulp overflowing into the juice. Another option to try after, if needed, is to just pour the juice back through the Hurom again. The second time running through the juicer will certainly help.
PROS: -quiet juicer -Nice look -Easy to wash after you get used to
CONS: -lots of pulp in the juice -clogs EASILY (like almost every time you juice) -Pulp is VERY wet -Waste a lot of vegetables
For 400$, Im sure you can find a better juicer than that. I bought this one and Im not sure if I will keep using it. Keep your money and buy something better than that!
