A thinner and more tender variety of Japanese kombu, light brown to dark green in color, Kelp is the all-purpose sea veggie- great in soups, salads, tofu, pasta, stir-fries, dressings, dips, sauces, and breads.  Its natural glutamates enhance flavors and tenderize high protein foods like beans. Intensely rich in minerals and trace elements, Kelp is highest in iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and offers substantial amounts of Vit. B's.  Phytochemicals in kelp have been shown to absorb and eliminate radioactive elements and heavy metal contaminants from our bodies.
