Betaine hydrochloride is also known as hydrochloric acid (HCL) or stomach acid. It helps digest food by breaking up fats and proteins. The low pH of the stomach's hydrochloric acid also destroys ingested bacteria and other microorganisms. Adequate levels of HCL are necessary for adequate absorption of protein, calcium, vitamin B12 and iron. Healthy stomach acid is needed for a healthy digestive tract. With stomach acid, even the best food cannot be properly digested. The inability to absorb nutrients properly can lead to serious health problems. Healthy stomach acid helps kill disease-causing microbes and parasites routinely found in the food. With low stomach acid, these infecting invaders may not be destroyed by the stomach's acid bath therefore potentially causing many types of infections. Low stomach acid can also cause indigestion. In actuality, too little stomach acid is the most common cause of an acid stomach, not excess acid. Some people take antacids to relieve the uncomfortable acid feeling in their stomachs (common after eating high protein or high fat meals). But the vast majority of those with an "acid stomach" suffer from not enough acid. They simply cannot digest what they have eaten. For some, an antacid may temporarily relieve a queasy stomach. However, in the long run, regular use of antacids make the problem worse.

Quantum Betaine HCL assists the body's natural stomach acids in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, especially protein, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and B-12. Taken along with digestive enzymes, Betaine HCL can eliminate indigestion, "queasy" stomach, and chronic heartburn.

Quantum Energy Effect

When nature grows something, for example a plant, the constituents that make up the plant are in a state of energy balance. Given the availability of resources and building materials, these constituents will be perfectly balanced with no single constituent dominating the rest. There are no leftovers or extra parts not being used and everything is there for a reason whether we perceive and interpret that reason accurately or not. This balance is what Quantum Nutrition Labs calls synergy. Quantum nutraceuticals uses the energy field and its interaction with the human body to determine what nutrients go into the formula and how much of them should be there. This allows the nutrients in the formula to be in balance or in harmony with each other, establishing a relationship that cannot be achieved by using intellectual presumptions.

In testing other products, a congruent energy field emanating from the product is never identified. It is Quantum Nutrition Labs' belief that the energy field is necessary for synergy and may also be as, or more, necessary than the nutrients themselves. Quantum products have a congruent energy field and demonstrate this by the use of Kirlian photography, which shows the existence of the field, and its strength. This same type of energy is present in fresh raw food and is almost totally gone after the food is cooked.

Recommended Use:

Adults: take 1 or 2 Vcaps after each meal daily, especially cooked meals. May be used in-between meals also.
