sun-streaking effects, tone down color that is too brassy, or cover
greys.
With gray or white hair, MM Pale Blonde Henna hair dye coats the shaft for a soft, natural-looking golden hue.
For Sun-Streaking Effects we suggest leaving in the henna for 2
hours before rinsing (this may be repeated twice or more if necessary).

achieve!!

Morrocco Method Henna can be used to safely dye any light-colored
natural fabric that you want to subtly darken, i.e. doilies,
handkerchiefs, muslin, etc.
Ingredients:
Neutral Henna(Cassia obovata), Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
About Our Henna Products
Morrocco Method Henna products are completely natural and free of any chemical additives and colorings.
The various colors are derived through the use of the same main
ingredient: the natural henna plant (Lawsonia Inermis). By using
different concentrations and parts of the plant, such as Roots - stalks -
flowers and the stem or the leaves, we are able to derive varying
potencies. Thus, the stronger formulations give a darker effect, where
as the lighter concentrations produce lighter colors - and all of this
is done naturally!
As for the black henna for hair, we add in the Indigo plant. The
Indigo is a natural shrub in the legume family that thrives in dry and
almost poor conditions. The Indigo is great for darkening certain Henna
shades and allows us to produce the Black Henna.
For lighter shades such as the Marigold Blonde, we use Marigold
leaves to produce a lighter potency.
One thing you should note is that
the Marigold Blonde Henna won't lighten your hair if you have dark hair.
In fact, no natural henna hair dye product will produce a lightening
effect!
So we recommend the Marigold Blonde to customers with grey and
white hair and lighter naturally blonde hair, and to those who want to
add blonde highlights / more blonde effects and conditioning shine to
their greying follicles!
Animal cruelty free.
All Morrocco Method 5 Elements products are gluten free.
Henna hair dye works its magic without damaging, without drying, and
without chemically altering the structure of the hair. Specially
recommended for those with chemical sensitivities.
Our natural hair color lets you naturally change color or add
highlights your hair without exposing yourself to harmful, damaging
chemicals. Lots of colors to select from or mix and match to create your
own unique style! See Color Chart. Light Blonde Henna
should not be mixed with any other Henna colors, if Light Blonde is mixed with Browns you will get an orange or reddish color.
The chart shows how the use of various henna hair dye shades may
affect your natural hair color. Actual results may vary depending on
your particular hair makeup and how the henna for hair was prepared and
applied.
How to Use Morrocco Method Henna
Strand Test
A stand test is a good indicator of what to expect when using henna. Apply henna to a hair sample, gathered from your brush or a previous haircut. Unlike regular chemical dye, henna works as a gloss, resulting in a color that is a mix between the dye color and the base color of your hair. Keep in mind, henna takes several days to oxidize, meaning that the final color may become darker in the days following henna application. Lighter hair types may need to do multiple applications to achieve a darker color. You cannot lighten hair with henna. Blonde henna will not bleach your hair.
Tools:
Small Mixing Bowl (glass or wooden preferable)
Plastic Sealable Baggie, 2
Mixing Spoon (wooden preferable)
Measuring Spoon (wooden preferable)
Gloves (vinyl/rubber)
How to Do a Strand Test:
Please read "How to Mix & Apply Light Blonde Henna," Step #1, to make Blonde Tea. You can brew a full 2 cups. You'll use only a few tablespoons for the test strands, so save leftover tea in the refrigerator for later use.
Take 1 tbsp Blonde Henna and mix with enough brewed Blonde Tea to get a yogurt-like consistency. Use only 1-2 teaspoons of lemon juice. You can mix it in a bowl or in a plastic bag.
Let this Blonde Henna mixture sit for 8-12 hours.
Use hair removed from your hairbrush or clippings from a recent haircut. You can snip a lock of hair from the middle of your head as well. Ball it up or attach ends to a piece of tape to hold them together. You need enough hair to be able to discern color difference, so half a handful should be fine. While wearing gloves, coat the strands with the henna mixture, thoroughly saturating them.
Put it in a plastic bag. Keep it on your person, in a pocket for instance, to include body heat as a factor in dye release. Leave in bag for 1-4 hours.
Rinse off henna from hair strands and inspect the color. Let it sit for 72 hours to get the most exact result. View test strand in artificial light and sunlight, as the color does change with the lighting.
How to Mix & Apply Light Blonde Henna
Tools:
Mixing Bowl (wooden or glass preferable)
Mixing Spoon (wooden preferable)
Measuring Spoon/Cup
Gloves (vinyl/rubber)
Plastic Wrap -OR- Plastic Shower Cap
OPTIONAL: Fabric Cap (beanie, ski cap, etc.)
What you Need:
Blonde Henna Kit (1 bag Blonde Henna powder, 1 bag Blonde Tea)
Warm Filtered water, 2 cup
Lemon Juice, 2-8 tablespoons
OPTIONAL: Euro Oil, 1-3 tsp
*One Henna Kit is enough for shoulder length hair. Longer hair may require additional kits.
Mixing & Application
Boil water and add Blonde Tea. Let steep for 15-30 minutes. Strain out flowers and let the tea cool to room temperature.
Put Blonde Henna powder into a mixing bowl and mix in lemon juice. The more you use, the better dye, but the more drying it can be for your hair.
Add the brewed Blonde Tea a little at a time while mixing, until it is the consistency of yogurt. The mixture should not drip from the spoon but should still be easily spreadable. You may not need all 2 cups of tea to achieve this.
Add Euro Oil to mixture, if using. Use more Euro Oil if you added a lot of lemon juice. Do not use more than 3 teaspoons, as the oil can prevent the color from sticking.
Cover with plastic wrap, pressing to remove any excess air, and let sit 8-12 hours. If the environment is cold and/or higher amounts of lemon juice were used, we suggest letting it sit the full 12 hours.
Section your hair, put a towel around your shoulders, and apply Euro Oil to your hairline and ears to prevent skin staining. Using gloved hands, apply henna to clean, dry hair. (It can be applied to towel-dried hair but not wet).
Wrap hair with plastic wrap or put on a shower cap. Optionally, put on a fabric cap over the plastic to trap body heat. The key is to keep the paste moist and warm.
Leave mixture in hair for 1-4 hours. The longer it is left, the more dye will saturate into your hair. Do not leave it in overnight.
Unwrap your hair and rinse with water only. Use a drain catcher to prevent possible clogging. Use Pearl Essence Creme Rinse or a few drops of Euro Oil to aid in the henna rinsing process, especially if you used a lot of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice.
The Morrocco Method Scalp Massager may also help in removing the henna. Do not shampoo your hair until 24 hours after the henna treatment. The full color will appear after 72 hours. This color will last 6-8 weeks.
Important Note About Chemical Dyes
Our Light Blonde Henna Hair Color is 100% pure plant dye. There are no chemicals, metallic salts, or PPD. Our henna hair color is the safest form of hair dye you can use, and it even has healthy benefits for your hair. You can safely use henna on previously chemically dyed hair, but we suggest waiting 6-8 weeks after your last dye job to allow for detox.
But if choose to continue with chemical dyes after applying henna, you'll need to wait 6-8 weeks until it fades. It won't "burn" your hair, which is a reaction to chemically-adulterated henna, but it can give you unpredictable results. Plant dyes don't lift easily out of your hair, leaving the end color unpredictable, and it fades faster because henna makes your hair less porous.
Going lighter cannot be done with a box dye, and the amount of developer you will need to lift the henna (in Light Blonde, it is actually Cassia obovata) will damage your hair to the point where it won't take dyes well. When dying your hair with henna and indigo, it will only lift the henna, and not the indigo, giving you green hair. The amount of chemicals you need to remove indigo from your hair will make your hair too damaged to hold any dye at all. You can, however, dye your hair the same color or darker.

FAQ's
Made
from the leaves of the Lawsonia plant, henna works its magic without
damaging, without drying and without chemically altering the structure
of the hair. To debunk any myths, perhaps the best way to define henna
is with three simple words that describe the results it yields — sheen,
body, color. Henna is, in many ways, the ideal colorant.
Chemically-based dyes often cause split ends and lifeless hair; henna
does not. Rather than chemically changing the hair structure and
weakening it, henna binds with the keratin of your hair, preventing
brittleness and breakage. It wears off gradually over a period of
approximately 8-12 weeks, eliminating the dark-root problem you must
contend with when using chemical tints. Our henna hair color also
includes Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) and Cassia (Cassia obovata), both
natural plant powders that give us a variety of colors.
Henna
Hair Color is a 3 step process. First you mix the henna, then allow to
sit (as the dye saturates into the mixture) for 8-12 hours. You may or
may not add indigo powder, depending on the color. Then apply the
mixture to clean, dry hair and allow to sit for desired time. Once
finished, simply rinse with a little conditioner and allow the hair to
dry naturally. Using Neutral imparts no color, but overall conditioning.
The
henna in our product is Lawsonia inermis, which is naturally a
red-orange dye. In order to achieve our variety of colors we use other
plant powders. Our browns and black are mixtures of Lawsonia inermis and
Indigofera tinctoria in varying ratios. Neutral Henna is pure Cassia
obovata. Blonde Henna is actually Cassia obovata mixed with marigold and
chamomile flowers.
We
switched to more economical packaging. For the Red and Neutral Henna
Hair Dye, nothing has changed except the packaging! But for the Light
Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, and Black Henna, we used to mix the
henna (Lawsonia inermis) and the indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) leaf
powders together. After some further research, we decided to improve our
henna hair dye by separating out these two ingredients. Their dye
release times vary and while henna needs an acidic environment to
release its dye efficiently, indigo doesn't like to be in acidic
environments long. This way, there is little chance of getting an orange
result and the browns are richer and deeper than they were before.
The
Black Henna now contains the mandatory treatment of Red Henna, because
you need henna for indigo to stick to your hair. Before, you had to buy
the Red Henna separately and do the "Two Step Method" with the Black
Henna. Now, you just buy one Black Henna!
The Light Blonde Henna
Hair Dye now includes Blonde Tea, which is the best liquid to add to
Light Blonde Henna Hair Dye. The ratios of herbal ingredients has also
been tweaked, but nothing that changes the base ingredients.
If
you have a Brown or Black Henna Hair Dye, then one bag is HENNA and one
bag is INDIGO. All the Browns add up to 4oz, which is enough for one
treatment of shoulder length hair. The Black Henna Hair Dye has a full
4oz treatment of Red Henna (labeled BLACK HENNA) and a full 4oz
treatment of Indigo (labeled BLACK INDIGO).
If you have Red or Neutral, the only change is the packaging, everything else is the same.
For Light, Medium and Dark Brown, simply mix the two powders together and then proceed as you would have before the change.
For the Black, you'll still need to do the Red Henna step first, but then the Indigo step would be your original Black Henna.
For the Light Blonde, exclude the Blonde Tea and mix as you would normally.

Henna is the only way to safely color your hair without toxins that
won’t affect women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. There are NO
chemicals in MM henna.

Yes!
Our new henna line is the best yet at covering grays. But if you are
having issues, there are two methods for covering gray hair with Brown (
Light , Medium or Dark ) and Black MM henna and they both involve using Red henna .
Red henna sticks to gray hair the best and is an important part of
covering grays, since the Indigo NEEDS henna to stick to your hair.
Do one full Red Henna treatment and then follow up with a Brown Henna treatment. You can also cover grays with our Light Blonde Henna
which turns your gray hair into a lovely, sun-streaked blonde. This is a
great option for people tired of chemical highlights and their gray
growth!
Wait
72 hours for the color to oxidize and re-evaluate it. You can get a red
tint to your hair color when using henna and all our browns are warm
browns. In order to achieve the deep, rich color you’re trying for, you
may need to apply the henna several times. Wait 24 hours between
applications and make sure it is done on dry hair. 2-3 applications
should give you the color you’re looking for. Are you experiencing this
due to your gray hair? See the question above.
You
cannot fully remove henna but don’t worry — it will fade. However,
blonde and very light hair types might still have a more dark gold tone.
In the meantime, the best way to lift Henna color is with a homemade,
overnight oil treatment. The most effective treatment is mixture of oils
consisting of mostly olive oil, coconut oil and a bit of Argan oil:
Start
by creating the oil treatment. Mix enough oil so that you have an ample
amount to cover all of your hair, with a bit leftover for touching up.
When
you have the right amount, apply the oil to your hair from root to tip.
When your entire head of hair is covered, we recommend that you leave
the oil treatment in overnight using a protective towel to cover your
pillow.
In the morning, to remove the oil treatment, first
thoroughly saturate hair with an undiluted MM Shampoo and massage in
well. (Since oil and water don’t mix, wetting your hair first would
require more shampoo). Rinse. Shampoo normally.
This process
will cause the color to fade. Multiple applications may be necessary.
The number of applications varies from client to client depending on
individual hair type and color.
Mixing
color is simply changing the ratio of henna and indigo. Add more henna
to lighten, add more indigo to darken. Here are the ratios:
Red: All Henna
Light Brown: 2/3 Henna, 1/3 Indigo
Medium Brown: 1/2 Henna, 1/2 Indigo
Dark Brown: 1/3 Henna, 2/3 Indigo
You
can mix in Light Blonde Henna or Neutral Henna to dilute the color of
any of the browns, but doing so might cause an oranger result.
Black doesn't require mixing henna and indigo, but two separate treatments.

The Morrocco Method of hair, face and body care is unique as well

experimentation, integrating modern scientific knowledge with the
ancient healing arts of Ayurvedic and Chinese herbalism.
Anthony Morrocco has, for over 40 years, carefully studied and
practiced holistic hair care. His quest to find a naturally based
treatment for hair and scalp problems began with his apprenticeship at
world famous Kenneth's, a posh New York salon, where his clients
included Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Mrs. Vincent Astor, Mia Farrow, Lauren
Bacall, Joan Rivers, Faye Dunaway, Liza Minelli, and numerous other
celebrities.
For years, Anthony watched as the rich and famous walked into
Kenneth's with hair care problems and left with the same problems, only
covered up with styles, perms, blow drying, gels, mousses, bleaches and
chemicals. Anthony discovered that, regardless of the money spent on
traditional hair care, the problems just didn't go away. This
realization inspired Anthony to create a new system of hair and scalp
treatment that would have successful, long term results.
Now, after more than four decades of travel, research and
experimentation, including his study of Chinese herbalism and
acupressure under Bruce Lee's master, Mr. Fung Yi of Peking and Dr.
Cecilia Lu of Shanghai, Anthony has perfected a holistic program for
women and men determined to make positive changes for healthier, more
vibrant hair.
