4 of 5 Good with some gravel like un-chewable peaces February 1, 2019
Reviewer: Ela from Toronto, ON Canada
I like it is small peaces, but some are too crunchy, like chewing on peaces of plastic, gravel or shells, so my husband and friends do not let me put in dishes they would eat as they can not chew it even when cooked. It might be better as a tea or to make homemade extract to avoid chewing. I prefer it raw or in stews and I just hope those gravel like peaces are seaweed and not plastic or sand or shells. I also bought the powder, but powder is light green colour, similar to kelp powder, while this coarse cut is dark brown? I believe they both should be dark brown.

Hi Ela,
The Bladderwrack Tea Cut is better used to make teas since it is a bit tough to chew similar to whole leaf kelp.  You can also try grinding it into a powder depending on how dry it is.  The powder will be a lighter colour since it is pulverized.  You can add the tea-cut version to any of your favourite teas and strain it out after letting it sit for 5-10 minutes.  This will help make it more palatable if you don't like the seaweed taste.
