make our Organic Carob Powder, carob pods are gathered from their
natural habitat, then their pulp is ground into a nutrient-rich raw
powder that adds chocolaty flavor and color to drinks, desserts, energy bars, and even savory recipes. It also adds natural, low-glycemic sweetness, which means you don’t have to add as much sweetener to your favorite treats!
Carob
may look and taste a lot like cacao, but this superfood has its own
unique nutritional perks. A two-ounce serving of carob powder provides 90% of your daily value of fiber, 20% of your daily value of calcium, 10% of your daily value of iron, and 3 grams of protein. It’s also high in antioxidants like heart-healthy tannins and a good source of potassium, vitamin B6, riboflavin, manganese, and copper. Plus, carob is caffeine-free, nearly fat-free, and unlike cacao, contains no calcium-blocking oxalates.
