Rhodiola Rosea Root - TEA CUT (Raw, Organic) (4oz)
Also known as- Arctic root, Golden root, Rose root, Hong Jing Tian
Commonly used for immunity, longevity, for fertility as it increases the body's resistance to any type of stress by regulating the body's hormonal response. Adaptogen. There is research that shows that the herb has many benefits to health, notably in regulating heart rate after exercise or stress. Russian researchers have found that extracts of rhodiola act in the same way as the drug Aricept in supporting cognitive function. In the stem of the brain, rhodiola compounds stimulate the release of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin into ascending pathways that activate the cerebral cortex, stimulating areas of analyzing, evaluating, calculating, and planning functions. The stimulating effect then moves to the pre-frontal cortex, where it contributes to memory functions like encoding, sorting, storage, and retrieval.
Country of Origin: China
NOTE: A smaller amount of rhodiola is a stimulant, but a larger amount seems to have a sedative effect in most people. If you are looking to boost your immune system or are treating depression, erectile dysfunction, or altitude sickness, try the smallest recommended dose first. If you are treating colds, flu, or stress, use a larger amount. Rhodiola has been helpful with depression, but it is not appropriate for bipolar disorder. Not recommended for use while pregnant. As with any new food, herb, or supplement, we recommend to consult with your qualified health care practitioner or herbalist before consuming and for any related amounts or dosages.
