pH Indicator Strips - (range 2.8-4.4 for fermented beverages)
These pH paper testing strips can be
used to test fermented beverages such as Kombucha Tea and wine. Kombucha Tea is
ready to drink when it registers at 4.0 or lower.

More information: pH testing is not
a requirement for Kombucha brewing. In fact, most home brewers do not test the
pH level of their batches. However, we do recommend pH testing if a person
wishes to deviate from a standard recipe (e.g., use less sugar, use a tea other
than black or green tea, etc.) or has a batch that appears to be culturing
abnormally. Ultimately we recommend using good judgment and adhering to a
standard recipe when brewing Kombucha Tea. If in doubt, test the pH level and
never consume Kombucha Tea that looks, smells, or tastes unpleasant.
